Tenielle Design began in 2008 and was quickly called the “obsession du jour” of Fashion Magazine editor Sarah Casselman. Led by Tenielle Franklin, a South African born Canadian designer trained in goldsmithing and metalworking, all the pieces are currently designed and hand-made in Canada and France. The collections are carried in 20+ boutiques in Toronto and Europe. Tenielle Design exhibited at Place Vendome during Paris Fashion Week S/S 2011, where the designs were requested by Taylor Swift’s personal stylist and praised by agents of Christian Dior Couture. The firm has received several accolades, including being selected as an emerging talent at Henri Bendel’s designer casting call in New York City and as one of the top five “coups de coeur” of Pret a Porter Paris The Box 2010 salon.
